Rory makes winning racecourse debut
Drive Time bounces back to form
He had a lot of weight and with his American pedigree we worried about the sticky ground. I know he won on heavy ground at Punchestown but that was wet while today it isn't. He looks a real stayer and Ruby said he would jump a fence. Today was the first time we really thought that and I will have to have a word with Mr Wylie (winning owner Graham Wylie) now.
Another for Mangan as Dilemma wins again
That's brilliant. I'm delighted for his owners who are from Oranmore. He is a tough horse and his only going to get better. He will mix it between hurdles and fences now. He had a good handicap mark which I had nothing to do with, thanks go to Val O'Brien (former trainer of the winner) in Galway for that. I only have a small team of horses but they are health and well. He is a good fun horse and Harley said that he will stay further than two miles. The ground made it a good test. I have good faith in Harley and I rang his agent Gary Cribben to book him for the ride before he was even declared.
Four in-a-row for Missunited
She is in as good a form as ever she was. She was really pulling us around the parade ring. Niall gave her a great ride. She was a little bit unlucky at Leopardstown and it's nice to give someone another chance after making a mistake. She will go for the Cesarewitch now and probably won't go up much for that win so there is no reason not to go for it. She probably wasn't in love with the ground but she has loads of stamina. Since Galway we have been walking on cloud nine and even the best dressed lady wore purple yesterday, I'm even claiming that one, I've set a trend! (referring to the purple pants he wore the day Rebel Fitz won the Galway Hurdle).
Double for Mullins/Walsh as Twinlight scores
He handled the ground well. I'm not sure jumping is his first love as he was a bit sketchy over some of them but he shows lots of speed at home and should win another novice chase. I don't know how far up the ladder he will go over fences though.
