Lumiere lights up Curragh opener
She's a lovely filly. She had been working nicely, she's still a very big immature filly so whether I run her again this year or not is debatable,. The ground was probably a shade softer than ideal for her, Colin just thought she has plenty of pace. If I run her once more again it will be in a stakes race and that will be it, I'll discuss it with her owner Eva Maria Haefner. There is the CL Weld Park Stakes. I wouldn't the ground too soft as she's a very good actioned filly. She's a lovely filly for next year. She had the race won from a fair bit out today and is a lovely filly in the making.
Keane grabs quick double on Answer
We always liked him. He's a big horse and it's all about next year with him. This is a bonus. When we got him we were thinking the back end of the year but he's always shown us something. He has a big stride on him and he'll prefer better ground than that. He did that on his own, it was a genuine performance and he'll improve from it. He was doing what we've seen at home. He was very relaxed today, took it all in. We'll get him home and make a plan now.
Keane completes treble on impressive Duke
He did that very nicely and did what we expected him to do. He's a lovely colt,. He was probably unlucky not to win in Galway but he's progressed from that and learned from that day. You could call him a winner a long way down there. He'll have one more run this year in a group race. I'll speak with Maurice Regan and see which one we'll pick. He's a very smart colt and a lovely horse to look forward to, a potential Guineas horse for next year.
Agartha too strong for Debutante rivals
Point powers clear to land Futurity
We're delighted with him. He's a lovely straight-forward horse,. He relaxes, he quickens and his head goes down to the ground when you ask him. He's happy to go in front but if someone wants to lead him, great. When you want him he quickens. He's a classy horse. He wouldn't like that ground, he wants good or better ideally as he's a lovely mover. He'll come back here for the National Stakes, that's the plan.
Express finishes off well to land fillies handicap
Juice in the ground, that's the secret to her. I can't say I was happy with the handicapper putting her up 30lb but it turns out he was right,. She's a different mare on this ground. We were going to go on Champions Weekend but when the rain came we said we'd come today. We'll see what the handicapper does now, whether we are going for another handicap or maybe try a little listed race somewhere. The listed race in Galway (Oyster Stakes on September 7th) might be the ideal race on soft ground. She ran a great race in Galway last time when the ground beat her.
Heavenly delivers with late surge
The last day he ran like one that you'd say would come back here and win a maiden over six and that's what he's done,. It was a competitive maiden although I don't know how good they were. He's progressing with each run. I'm over the moon to get a winner for Sabena (Power). We had great luck at the start but haven't had much luck lately so I'm delighted to get a winner. His half-brother won a July Cup for me but he's not the colour of him. He is what he is, he's okay and hopefully he'll progress as he's raw. The handicapper gave Jon Riggens (stable-mate who beat him last time) 90 so he could get mid-80s but I honestly don't know. The problem with these maidens is that they all have ratings but in three months time a lot of those horses with high ratings will still be maidens. This track has been lucky to me this year, that's the fourth winner we've had, so we'll keep trying.
Unity makes all for cosy win in finale
He won well. The ground suited and I think having the loose horse there suited him as well,. The handicapper will probably have his say with him now but it's nice to get another win with him.
