Do Ya Feel Lucky? O'Keefe and Kelly do
They are running well thank God. She is a filly we like. We went the point-to-point road with her because she was for sale. It's not a three mile family, I had Carthalawn in his later days and it's a two mile family. Her half-brother Miliner is a two miler as well. The last day she ran well but we thought she was a lot better than that. Darragh gave her a good ride, he is a good 7lb claimer and did exactly what he was told. She did it nicely and is one to look forward to. We will try and place her now and she is for sale. Jamie (Codd) was at us to go for a bumper but we just said we'd go for a hurdle and, if it didn't click after two runs, we'd go back for a bumper.
Doyen Bay goes in at 20/1 in Tramore
He won a point-to-point not so long ago in Liscarroll. This is his grade and he'll go for something similar again. He battled away from the last after jumping it a bit slow. At some stage he'll go over fences.
O'Keeffe completes 134/1 double on Yaiza
It's nice to win with him. I ran him in Killarney last year and he came back with heat in the leg and Walters Connors treated him for me. I always thought a good bit of him and we fancied him in Killarney. Darragh gave him a great ride. We’ll see what the handicapper does now.
In A Pinch back with a bang in Tramore
That was grand, she is an easy mare to train. Paul gave her a grand ride and everything worked out. I thought it might be a bit sharp for her around here but she handled it well. She is only a small mare and she'll probably go for a similar type of race now, we'll see what the handicapper does.
Townend quickly doubles-up on Contingency
She was grand and jumped well enough. Once they changed pace it took her a while to adjust, but got going then over the last two. When Shark's mare (Mega Mindy) changed the pace up the hill it just caught her out, and it was just a typical novice mistake. She wasn't used to changing speed. She jumped that last two well enough. We will probably try and keep her novice chasing for the summer, if I can find more mares chases especially over a longer trip. I'm hoping she'll improve.
Bellgrove enjoys himself in Tramore again
Savina gives Mullins a brace in Tramore
She raced fairly green. There was a real good pace and that played to her advantage as she is from a lovely staying pedigree. Her pedigree and her stamina came to the fore and she galloped on to the end. I'd be looking forward to going over hurdles with her over a trip I think and she'll stay going now for the summer.
