Tongue-Tie Does Trick for Who's Deal
Vinny Gets the Job Done
He jumped well apart from that fluff at the last. I think in the conditions it is hard for any horse to be impressive today. When they come into the straight, that headwind just stops you dead. He'll have one more run before we go to Cheltenham.
Parsons Shows his Stamina
I was going to keep him for the Thyestes but I changed my mind as I thought this race was winnable. He does stay well although Paul said he was absolutely drunk going up to the line. He will be entered for the RSA Chase and the four miler,.
Meade & Carberry Double Up
I kicked myself that I didn't have him in the three mile hurdle at Leopardstown at Christmas. The ground turned out to be quite good there and it was an awful mistake by me. If he does go to Cheltenham it would be for the World Hurdle but the two and a half miler at Aintree might be more likely. There are also plenty of suitable races for him at home. He is a lot better on better ground.
He always runs a good race and the ground doesn't seem to be a problem. Around two and a half miles is his trip. He will go chasing next year. (EM)
Vinny & Jessie Double Up for the Mullins'
It was a good decision by the authorities to let the meeting continue. This fellow was a very difficult quirky horse and Raymond Dunne has done a fantastic job at home to get him to settle. He needs a trip and he will probably go jumping now. (EM)
