Prospectus rewards his new investors
I like him but the way he won surprised me. He was professional enough and went to the line well and we will have to make an entry for him at Leopardstown now.
Chimney defies his latest Challenge
he will probably go to Limerick over Christmas. He always travels well but was not getting home over longer trips last season. He's also well handicapped over fences and jumps well.
F'house maiden winner earns Neptune quote
he's a lovely, big chasing type but he's still a baby, and is very raw and green. We will keep it small with him for the moment.
Tuzo scores for Cheltenham winners
he's done it well, and travelled away well. He's a horse that I thought a lot of but has had problems and it's just good to get him back to here. His jumping was terrible over hurdles all last year but he was very big and deliberate today and didn't seem to hit any of them. He should be better over fences. He could go for one of those Pertemps Qualifiers at Leopardstown or Punchestown.
Yorkhill makes winning chase debut
he has huge scope for jumping and certainly has not lost any of his ability. He's very at home over fences. He went a bit left but that would not worry me too much once they have an engine. I hope fences will help him to settle - he took a fairly keen hold today but was not rushing his fences. He would have no trouble stepping up in trip but he is very good at that trip (two miles) and can jump at that trip. Christmas will probably come a bit too soon for his next run. He could stay at two miles or go up in trip just depending where his next run fits in.
Giggy's Genie wins for Meade & Cooper
he needs at least three miles and while he goes on good ground, it's just the soft ground slows the others down. He couldn't have it far enough or soft enough and could be one to consider for the four-mile race at Cheltenham. As soon as he (Cooper) injected a bit of pace off the bend he had them all in trouble and he's a brilliant jumper. There is a Grade 3 race in Naas (on January 28) over three miles that we could look at.
Fahy's filly lands gamble in Fairyhouse finale
she showed promise in all her bumper runs. That's the first winter ground we've had and both my horses have run well on it today (Castlegrace Paddy finished second in a maiden hurdle). She has a bit of a future and reminds me of Storm Gem who won nine races for us (in the late 1990's). She could go for a winners' bumper getting all the allowances.
