Murtagh's reserve wins opener under Danny Sheehy
It's a nice surprise and it was a nice surprise to get in in the first place,. We were just sitting down for a cup of tea when one of the lads said 'Johnny there are two non-runners in the first'. Without that we wouldn't have known and we had a bit of a rush to get here. We always liked this filly but she's been a little bit disappointing. She's big, tall, and might have been a bit weak. We gave her a couple of weeks out in the paddock and she's really strengthened up. I thought the favourite would be very hard to beat today but she's a nice filly and she could well improve from this. Hopefully she can go on to better things. She was one of our faster two-year-olds, herself and Measure Of Magic were the most forward ones we had but Measure Of Magic was a bit more precocious and she just took time with her size and frame. She's filled up into that now and hopefully she'll have a bit better future now.

Geological rallies close home to gain eighth win at Dundalk
I'm delighted, that's his eighth win up here. I think the winter in Dubai did him the world of good. We'll probably go for the big seven-furlong handicap on Champions Weekend again. Hopefully the handicapper isn't too hard on him as it was a tight finish. When they headed him I thought we were in trouble because it is riding slower. This place, with the sun on it always rides a bit slower and then we have the new surface settling in so I thought it wouldn't be ideal. He knows where the line is and knows this place better than any of us. He's the best I've had. It was Cash Or Casualty at the start who was the first winner and won nine for us but this lad's just taken it to another level. He's taken us to Dubai and is competing here off 98. He's unreal. He's eight years young and still has the enthusiasm, long may it last.

Feane's Admiral benefits from Barrier Trial experience
We love this horse. We brought him up for a barrier trial, he's still very green, but he won that on the bridle with his ears pricked only doing a steady canter. Gavin said he has a good turn of foot. I think he'll stretch out in time, definitely to a mile and a mile-and-a-quarter in time. I just think he's really classy. We'll stick seven or a mile for the time being. He's only a shell of a lad and he'll be nothing until he's four. I have the half-sister Simply A Breeze and hopefully she can win tomorrow. The owners bred him and they are delighted.
Halford's Sky Seven takes 'Red God' Handicap under Whelan
I didn't even see the race as I was in with the physio getting some work done on my back!. I was just listening to it while getting needles stuck into me. He loves it around here and he's after getting strong so he handled the slower surface. It's a great pot to win with him. The horses have been hitting the crossbar for ages without getting their head in front. The owner is a great supporter of ours and a great supporter of Irish racing so I'm thrilled for him.
Winner on first ride for Jessica O'Gorman
We're absolutely delighted, it's Jessica's first ride on the track and she's riding for the boss so it's a great start to her career. Hopefully it'll be one of many. The filly likes the track and Jessica gave her a great ride. She was under strict instructions to look the part and hopefully she did. The boss is absolutely delighted that he was able to give her a good start.
