'Icing on the cake' as Foster enjoys Navan winner
it's been good, it's a well oiled machine and the whole team have been so helpful. The staff are amazing and I know a lot of them. It will take me a while to get a handle on all the horses as there are so many. Everybody has been brilliant and I've felt really at home and that's put the icing on the cake. I'm delighted for all the team because they've had a very hard time and worked so hard.
Cullentra win Navan's opening two races
Timely win for Ronald Pump's trainer
that was badly needed. That was the plan, I told him (Dillon Maxwell) to jump out and make it. I was a little bit worried about the ground. He gave him a good ride, steadied him up and then let him on again. His jumping was an awful lot better, he got in close to one but he jumped great. I'm delighted with that. He had good form in maiden hurdles and he learned a bit from his handicap debut against older horses last time.
Grand National next for Ted's Webster winner
I'd say that was a career best and he's going to the National in a good frame of mind. Five runners here against 40 in the National is chalk and cheese but he's going there in good shape and whatever happens happens. He won a similar race to this last year at Naas the same way and he's a smart horse. He won his maiden hurdle around here, won a Grade 2 at Punchestown over hurdles and won the Kim Muir. He's a fair horse.
'Major win' for Fahy in Final
I couldn't be happier and it's just a pity the owners (the Byrnes) couldn't be here as this is major for us. I was delighted, as that was the plan. We had always targeted this race as it was the only place we were getting three miles. we thought we had a great chance but of course when you get closer to the event you see a thousand things going wrong. He's a novice and hasn't that many runs over fences. We'll look for another race like this and then make a plan.
McManus completes Navan 4-timer
he won a maiden hurdle first time out and we thought he was a lovely horse but he took a long time to get his act together jumping wise. He made a lot of mistakes the last few days but he jumped great today and I'd say that was the difference. He seemed to be a lot more confident today and jumped really well. I'd say it was a very poor contest but he couldn't do any more than win it and he won well. I'm delighted. We'll look for something similar. I thought he wanted a bit of better ground but he seemed to handle it.
Queally seeking 'big-owner' sale for bumper winner
that's brilliant. I own him myself with my good friend Michael Ryan. I've had a lot of sleepless nights because when you know a horse is good there is a lot of pressure running him. Thankfully it's paid off and he'll be sold now, hopefully to go to big connections. He's a nice horse.
