Beliar wins Tramore opener
that was my first winner of this year's Festival . we¦ve been knocking on the door a bit without getting in front. He might be claimed now but this was the ideal race for him as he likes here. We tried him over hurdles but he's not in love with hurdles but hopefully at this grade he'll pick up another one.
Jazz Girl scores for Oliver
we were very concerned about the ground and she was very close to being pulled out - I walked the track and thought it was firm. We kept her in because her race wasn't very competitive. Gary gave her a great ride - we thought it would be a tactical affair between her and the favourite and our tactic was to make it and let her come at us. We'll see what the handicapper does with her now. That's only my third runner around Tramore and Jazz Girl is owned by Garrett Freyne, a vet, like me, from Straffan.
Flashback to last win, one year on
that was a nice win. He is a fair oul' galloper but has to have good ground. He's declared for a maiden hurdle here tomorrow and we'll see how he is in the morning before making a decision on whether to run.
Regresa completes double
the horses have been running well but just haven't been getting their heads in front. The further she goes, the better she's getting. She's always been an honest filly. She was second in a maiden at The Curragh last year and may go there again soon for a handicap.
Komet blazes around Tramore
Kristal Komet wouldn't love that ground but she has a great heart and always gives her all. When the ground is softer she'll be even better and, while she has already won her maiden hurdle, her future is over hurdles. Tracey is on a roll at the moment and had a Listed and Group winner recently.
