Tintangle makes a winning debut over fences
She was entitled to do that on hurdles ratings,. Jack said she had a bit of a blow and the ground is probably riding slower than they are calling it. It's beautiful ground and a nice way for her to start off. He said she wasn't doing a stroke in front. Ideally he didn't want to get to the front that soon but she winged the third last and he had to let her go. She's a bit of a madam but fences might be the making of her. We rocked on over fences because she got black-type over hurdles and she won a Listed bumper. She'd be a valuable broodmare if she could get it over fences as well.
Champagne Classic makes a pleasing start to the season
Jack was very impressed with him and said he jumped brilliant. He said he'd come on from it and could even go further,. He still qualified for the likes of the four-mile chase at Cheltenham and they will be the races he'll be going for. Flawless Escape galloped off okay. He was going to win well anyway. Obviously he could go for the Drinmore but we'll mind him anyway. Obviously he's had his few injuries and he might even go straight for that. He didn't do anything wrong last year. The plan was to go to the four-mile chase and he pulled a muscle, and we just couldn't get there, so we just decided to pull the plug on him for the year.
Captain Cobajay wins well for 'Dusty' Sheehy
I was humming and hawing about running him because of the ground,. I kind of fancied him because of his experience even though he had went up plenty in the weights. He did it quite well and we'll see what happens now. He was probably the two mile horse in it and he's learnt from his few falls. He didn't jump as well today as he normally does though. It's great to get the win anyway. He's a summer horse and I was praying we'd get another couple of fines weeks but he's paid his way.
Katie impressive on hurdling debut
She's good, she's very smart,. We weren't sure if we were going to keep her to bumpers or go hurdling. She couldn't actually run until Aintree because she had run in so many bumpers, so we discussed with David during the week and said we'd go hurdling. She's very smart and we'll go to Down Royal now for the mares novice. She can be a bit of a handful but she's a good mare. I think she could go up to two-and-a-half but at the moment we'll go to Down Royal and see where we go from there.
Shumaker lands touch for Traynor
Cawley's charge seizes his opportunity
He was entitled to win. He has had a lot of chances over hurdles, and knocked on the door a few times last year,. I was delighted to see the ground drying out. Chris said he still wasn't in love with it. He held on to him as long as he could turning in, I was worried that he wasn't holding on to a lot. He won well in the end. Off his weight he had only a stamp on his back and that stands to them. He has limited ability but anytime you get a race out of them it's not too bad.
Winners keep flowing for Meade
That's Mark’s 3lbs claim gone now,. I'm not saying he took me by surprise but he's a weak horse. We knew he stayed quite well but I think he'll improve a lot with a bit of time. He's a big leggy horse. He stayed very well and jumps very well so hopefully he'll be a nice horse. I'd imagine he'll go hurdling now. We bought him off 'Puppy' Power at the Land Rover sale and he's for sale.
