Barrett's newcomer springs a surprise at 33/1
She is a very nice, straight, honest filly and I told Gavin to take his time because she was drawn badly.

Memorable win for local boy Wesley Joyce on Trueba
Johnny was full up earlier in the year and sent this horse to my brother Eddie to take the pressure off. A stable became available after his run at the Curragh the last day so Johnny took him back. Eddie buys all the horses for Johnny at the sales so they are in close contact and he winters a few horses for Johnny. He is a very easy horse to train and Johnny leaves the apprentices ride him and he has been very rewarding.

Dream Tale battles well for Whelan
He has been knocking on the door so deserved that and Ronan gave him a very good tactical ride,. I couldn't fault the horse, he has a great attitude and battled well. We'll see what the handicapper does and what opportunity presents itself. I asked Ronan about going seven (furlongs) but he said to stay at a mile or even go up again so we'll see - he got 10f at Dundalk and it gives us options and he is a good hardy campaigner.
