King Electric in Navan opener
This was a nice stepping stone and we can now go Listed or Group 3 as he's a really nice progressive horse. Royal Ascot was never on the agenda for this horse. I like baby steps with two-year-olds unless they are jumping through hoops, and don't forget we have the Railway Stakes here. I have a lovely bunch of two-year-olds this year. We sold a lot of horses last year and we are in a building mode. We have a lot of nice two-year-olds that will be nice horses next year. You have to keep your foot on the pedal here but I'm delighted and things are going well.
In Salutem now a three time winner at Navan
He likes Navan and the Curragh. The old adage horses for courses and he seems to like stiffer tracks were he's coming off a strong pace. They can't go hard enough for him, and he likes coming through after a bit of cover early. He's been a great servant, and he goes on most ground apart from very soft. We'll aim for a six-furlong handicap on Derby weekend, and then there is the Paddy Power he ran well in last year. He'll also go for the big sprint handicap on Champions Weekend that he was second in last year but was then disqualified. He could be a horse for the Ayr Gold Cup as he handles a bit of cut.
Breslin off the mark, as Condon doubles-up
You don't often see Jeremy's win over five furlongs on fast ground, and I was really surprised at how well she travelled. The owner wants to retain her for breeding and she will be a nice cross for the future. I'm particularly delighted for young Andrew who is our stable apprentice. He's a very diligent lad and a hard worker. He deserves it, and it was a well-judged ride.
Derby team on the mark again with Karalara
Bolger continues winning run with Ceol
Kevin said she got the trip well. She’s an improving filly and loves galloping away.
Zebgrey appreciates step up in trip
She ran some cracking races and deserved that. That’s the first time we stepped up to this trip. It’s a stiff mile but she stayed every yard, and I’d not be afraid to step her up again. There are sprinters and hurdlers in her family. Hopefully she will progress again, and I’m sure she will climb the hill in Galway!
