Ex-Ballydoyle inmate wins Naas opener
Yaha Fizz scores third win of 2017
he did it well. We thought he had improved from the last day. We work him on his own at home, because he can get a bit revved up. Physically he looked to have improved but there is only one way to find out - and thankfully we found out. We’ll see what the handicapper does and review where we go again. He’ll stay over hurdles this season anyway.
Elliott's Escape leads Naas 1-2
he’ll (Midnight Escape) be a nice horse for next year and is a chaser in the making. We’re happy enough and it’s job done and we’ll try and find something small for him next; then that’ll be it until next year. The second horse (Cracking Smart) ran alright too and he’ll come back for a bumper.
Slowmotion wins Naas feature
Westerners Son causes 20/1 upset
it was a good performance and Conor (Maxwell) said he loved the ground. He got kicked at the start at Leopardstown and was a bit sore and we put the blinkers back on today and they obviously worked and he got his own way in front. I don’t know where we’ll go now but that was a nice pot to win.
Dylrow scores poignant win for Hennessy
I’d say he would have had a few quid on him today and he’d have been in first last night at 12/1!. The boss (his late father) bought him but he never even got to see him running as he got a leg two weeks after buying him.He didn’t have a bad injury but we gave him plenty of time off and he;s a lovely horse. I was sort of kicking myself for telling him to buy him but we knew he had a bit of potential and he’ll make a smashing chaser. We’ll have a look now and see what the handicapper does and if he’s too hard on him we’ll go chasing. In fairness to the young lad (Eamonn O’Connell) he gave him a good ride.
McKay's win boosts Mullinses' prospects
he’s improved since Christmas and did a lovely bit of work during the week. He’s one we’re looking forward to and is going to have to step in now. He’s improving away all the time so hopefully he keeps doing that.
