Winning Weld filly enters Classic picture
it was impressive. I'm not getting carried away with the level of the race but she can only win and was impressive. She was working very nicely coming here today and duly delivered the goods. I see her as a Stakes filly and I'll have a chat with her owner Eva Maria (Haefner) and she'll either go for one of the Guineas Trials or straight to the Irish 1,000 Guineas. I'd say we'll look at one of the trials.
Another Weld newcomer wins at Gowran
we had to work at it that time! He had to battle. I see him as a handicapper and we'll take it from there but he has won his race now. I've had six runners for his highness the Aga Khan this season and that's my sixth winner.
Bolger handicap debutante wins at Gowran
Gowran h'cap winner bought from Done Deal!
one of the owners, Tom Rain, had a mad idea and bought him off Done Deal (classifieds website)! He got the other lads (Another Plan Partnership) into it with him then. I don't know a lot about him (Rockview Emperor), I've only had him two months but Seamie said he's a bit of a character and said he was starting to be a bit funny on the way to the start. He thought he might boil over but when the race started he was okay.
Weld, Smullen & Aga Khan complete hat-trick
he (Edelpour) is a nice horse and it was a good workmanlike performance. He stays, kept at it and it was a good solid drive from Pat. We'll look for a winners of one now.
Dancingwithangels completes double
she did it well and has really come on since last year. It took a while to get to know her and what she likes and doesn't like. I'm glad she was able to win her maiden first and then come out and win a handicap. She's in next week and if she's okay she'll run. Then we'll give her a bit of a break.
Cheltenham hero gives Weld/Smullen 4-timer
he did what we hoped and he was idling away in front and having a good look at things; he relaxed beautifully. It was a lovely race for him. I don't know where he'll go next but I'll look forward to later in the year with him in stayers races. Obviously he'll mix it between codes, whether he'll go to Punchestown (Festival) I don't know.
