Antelope scores in first time cheekpieces
He was very green first time out. Emmet (McNamara) rode him and said he would come on a lot. He was still green at the Curragh but better today.
In-foal Gal gets up under Coakley
That's Ross' first winner for me. I think he was only a 12-year-old when he first sat on a horse for us. He's riding with a lot of confidence, and is a lovely chap.
Cruidin gets off the mark on tenth start
Mono just gets the better of favourite Schaick
It was a messy race and he was carried out wide. He makes life hard on himself as he's very idle. The cheek-pieces helped and also the bit of ease in the ground. At the Curragh it was a bit fast on the downhill into the straight.
Hayes shines aboard Panama in the Lenebane
He disappointed at the Curragh and there was no reason for it so we decided to put the blinkers on. But, even though he's won, it seems the blinkers didn't work as Chris was hard at work as soon as they jumped out.
Azzuri now two from two at Roscommon
The bit of juice in the ground helped, and he'll make a lovely jumping horse. That was a great performance under top-weight. He's very genuine and the rain came in time for him.
Well-bred Affinisea impresses on debut
He was injured for a long time, and did nothing at two and not a lot as a three-year-old. He's only really been in training from last autumn. We have been minding him, and that shower we had an hour ago helped. He's a beautiful looking horse with a great pedigree and he's got talent. He could be a horse to have as a five-year-old. Time is moving on and we will not be too hard on him this year. That's the first time he's ever been on grass. We have not learned a lot about him at home as the ground has been too firm to run him on grass. I'd like to find a winners race over a mile and a half, and he could get an entry in the mile and six furlongs race on the Friday of Galway.
