Manning/Gorman win opener at Limerick
His first run at The Curragh was a good run and Kevin [Manning] said the ground was very soft but he knew he would handle it and he stuck it out well. He probably wants 7f and we'll look for another handicap for him with a bit of ease in the ground.
Murtagh wins aboard Bibury
Well we think a lot of this filly she ran really well for us last season which surprised us. She has thickened up well over the Winter and she ran a blinder at the Curragh last time out and the winner of that looked decent. Johnny [Murtagh] suggested that we go handicapping with her next, so we'll see what the handicapper does before we make any plans.
McDonogh records double
It opens up other options for him now, the handicapper has him over hurdles. We'll go novice chasing with him in the Autumn and we may look at The GPT Amateur Handicap at Galway, ground permitting. It's great that he's after winning as he has been unlucky during the year.
Cleary seen to good effect
He ran well at The Curragh and has come on nicely from the run. The ground was a big help to us today and he should improve again from the run. We'll see what the handicapper does with him now.
Townend Ready To Tap
He ran twice on good ground and then he ran in yielding ground and finished 3rd but then he got injured, he got a bad cut to his fetlock. So we waited for the soft ground and we knew he'd be there, there abouts.
