O'Grady makes swift Cash and Go raid
he got the job done, is a brother to Catch Me and we can dream for the moment that he will be as good as him!. It's difficult to place four year olds at this time of year and we won't rush him - he may have one more run before Christmas. Today's race looked a good race on paper and Barry (Geraghty) was impressed by him and by his jumping.
My Murphy continues winning streak
My Murphy is a decent horse and definitely one for the future. He was unlucky the first day he ran in a point to point when he fell at the last and was remounted for third. He did win on his next start though. We'll go down the novice route now and will go chasing next season. His owner Hans Zindel is from Switzerland but is living in Lismore and is a great owner to have in these economic times. He also has a two year old filly with Mick Halford.
Easy handicap win for Munsaab
he was disappointing the last day but we'll see what the handicapper does next before deciding plans. He was injured in the Champion Bumper at Punchestown last year but has plenty of ability.
Russell serves up double
Best Served Cold is a nice horse to look forward to and stays and jumps well. He only ran a week ago but it was my call to bring him here. He has his job done for the moment but I'll give him three weeks to a month off now. He'll probably run at Limerick or Leopardstown over Christmas and the Dorans Pride Novice Hurdle at Limerick is a possibility.
Groody in the groove
Lismakeery comes good
that's my first winner for J.P but he's had to have great patience with Lismakeery. It has been a long wait for today's win. After he won his bumper in Clonmel, I thought I was being sent a star but he kept letting us down and has disappointed us the whole way along. He works great at home but just doesn't reproduce it on the racecourse for whatever reason. I hope that can give him a bit of confidence now.
Cully doesn't take No for an answer!
