McCreery's plan works out and that's a Fact
For once things worked out. I didn't run her last week in Killarney, as the ground was a bit lively, and was wondering if I'd done the right thing as it was a huge pot. At least it paid off,. I thought she was in good old form coming here. I'm delighted to have a horse in training for Ballylinch, and David Hyland is also involved. They are nice owners.
Murtagh filly shows toughness
That was great. She had the form in the book and likes soft ground. Colin said she stays well,. We'll see if we can find a handicap for her. I was hoping she had got there rather than confident. I hope next year she might be capable of getting some black-type. She's a big honest filly and does her best, so maybe in time she can reach that level. She's a strong stayer and is a half-sister to Cesarewitch winner Never Can Tell.
Waaheb too strong for rivals
Chief much too strong at Roscommon
That was great. I felt there was probably another hurdle race in him,. The ground in Cork was a shade quick for him. He was there turning in but flattened out. He travelled well within himself today and David gave him a lovely ride. He seems better with a bit of ease.
Ceol Agus Ol for some after 40/1 winner
Brian knows him really well. I was disappointed with him last time in Ballinrobe but the track was too tight for him. He loves an ease in the ground and needs a galloping track. He'll maybe go to Galway next week for a handicap. He's always shown a good bit of ability but was very green on his first two starts.
