Headford Lady deserved that win again as it took her one year to come right following a problem she had last season. The plan was to come late and hopefully we'll find another handicap before the end of the season.

Carberry was unbelievable on Save My Blushes - I thought he would be pulled up at one stage!. Save My Blushes is for sale and is entered in the Brightwells Flat Horses-In-Training Sales next month but can be bought before then as it would save me the trip over! My wife Claire Howes owns him and it was a nice touch to win today.

McNamara Having A Cut at Title

Having A Cut didn't seem to come up the hill at Galway the last day and just about got home today where the flatter track suited better. We'll go for something similar again next and it is some compensation for owner J.P. McManus for the loss of Money Belt which was put down following an injury suffered at Clonmel yesterday.

Steeltown wins for Geraghty/Taaffe

Steeltown jumped and travelled well and liked the nice ground. The race was always going to be fast run while chasing will ultimately be his forte.

Tough Talkin Man wins Roscommon finale

we were hoping for a nice run but didn't expect Tough Talkin Man to win today but it is great to get it! It is my first win since October 2007 and I have eight horses in training at present, mainly point to pointers. Tough Talkin Man's owner Marie Robinson rides him out every day.
