Muroor gains compensation under Maxwell for McCourt
It was a bit of a sickener the last day. He loves these type of tracks. I was going to go to Tramore but he was after having two runs in a week so I said I would wait for this. He's getting it together a bit now. Hopefully we'll come back up here (next month on the 28th). I'd say here suits him better with the stiff finish. It's a pity it's not two on the trot now!
Dubai another for in-form McConnell yard
He jumped left (early) and It's not really his track. We might go left-handed next time even though both of his wins have been at right-handed tracks. If you bounce back to his previous two runs (before Bangor) I still thought he had a win in him. Obviously Bangor was disappointing but I have about six different theories why he didn't run well there - it was very, very warm over there, like swelteringly warm. He's just a galloper, he's tough. He's not a big horse. I have no plans, we might even put him away for next season. He'll jump a fence though. Listen if Listowel came up good or Bangor-On-Dee, we'll be somewhere!. He got quite a bad injury in Bellewstown. He stood on the rail and the chifney bridle slashed through his tongue and he cut about 80 percent of his tongue. He came home and ate up that night but he had to get stitched up and everything. He's a tough horse to come back from that.
Russell gets Present up on the line
I thought he was beat everywhere, I thought he was beat even crossing the line! He was flat out the whole way. He's a horse to go chasing next year and he'll be alright - three miles and a fence will be his job. Davy (Russell) got a good cheer so there must have been a good few lads on him!
Caltex completes quick double for Elliott
He was entitled to do that on his Galway run. He is in at Doncaster Sales but I'm not sure whether he will go or not. We might hold onto him for another while, we'll see. He'll be kept going anyway. On his day he is good and he likes jumping a fence. Jack (Kennedy) said he jumped very well so we are very happy with him. Probably the easier the ground the better he is. He was good.

Royal Rendezvous shows his true worth
We got a little messed around at the start in Galway. It didn't go to plan and he ran very keen. Today we decided we would just let him use his stride and let him gallop and that's what we thought he might do in Galway. We think he is a very good horse. I'm not sure whether he'll go for a winners' bumper or he'll go jumping. I think what he shows us at home says he's a good horse, so hopefully onwards and upwards from there.
