Rock On Fruity lands plenty of bets
He'll go handicapping now and tip away for the summer between two and two and a half miles. I think he's okay on that ground. He can't handle it soft.
Sandymount Duke gets Kilbeggan satisfaction
That step up to three miles was great. He's more grown up each time he runs. Robbie was funny about him, he wanted to take a lead but he jumped so well he decided to go on. He jumped great and he'll go for another novice between two and a half and three miles. (Owner) Ronnie Wood is somewhere in America.
One out of one for new trainer Coyle!
I always thought he had a bit of a chance. He ran in a good point-to-point the last day when Paul got a good tune out of him. I've had him all this season point-to-pointing. The ground was too soft for him early on but his best run was his last on good ground. I thought he had a sporting chance but it's a bit surreal to be honest. In fairness to the Turf Club I needed the licence in a rush and thankfully it came through last week. This one will be better over fences. I've five in for the summer. I train in Batterstown, Co Meath. I rode eight point-to-point winners for Eddie Cawley. I met Paul Power on the licensing course. I worked in Eddie Cawley's with Robert Connolly who is a son of Dunroe Boy's owner Thomas Connolly.
Do Try Dolly wins in Kilbeggan again
She got a great ride the last day. The 7lbs made the difference today. He's a helluva good rider. She was hanging, that's why he couldn't get to the rail. She's still a novice and could go for a mares' novice down the line. She could surprise in one.
Akorakor leads home Elliott one-two
I thought it was going to be one of those days. My jockey beat me earlier [Jack Kennedy on Do Try Dolly beat Disputed]. I'll have to stop him riding elsewhere!. He jumps and gallops and will go for something at Galway. He has his job done for us and he's in at the sales.
Harangue puts it in at Kilbeggan
He's very unpredictable but he's alright when he puts it in. He has a mind of his own but it is good for Sean (Conroy, owner). The Galway Blazers might be the only race for him at Galway.
Mullins scores with first runner as a trainer
Job done! I'm used to plenty of pressure situations and that was grand. Patrick kept it simple and I'm delighted for the owners, the Mees. Putting him in with me meant a lot and hopefully it will be a help in the future. He'll be a nice horse for a winners' bumper in Galway. He's a nice, big horse and ran a good race in the Land Rover Bumper. He'll be kept going, he's a real good ground horse. I don't imagine he'll jump hurdles this year. I might come back to ride the very odd one.
