McNamara & Keane land Dream gamble
She had a lovely run one night at Leopardstown and then the draw was against her last time at Bellewstown,. That form has worked out and it mightn't have been as bad a run as it looked at the time. She did it well enough there and she'll go for something similar if we hold on to her.
Mater makes the breakthrough
She's been knocking on the door against some good fillies,. Kevin said by the way she stayed there that she could maybe go a mile and a quarter. The little bit of ease in the ground was a help.
Friendless Pal brings up the hat-trick
He's a horse that's improving all the time,. I was happy enough with how the handicapper treated him for the last day as he's going forward the whole time and filling into himself. The Friday night in Galway was the plan but we'll just have to wait and see how the handicapper treats him now. Down the line I can see him making up into a serious three-year-old hurdler. I trained the sire and the dam and knowing that breeding, the softer the ground the better they get.
Turnberry provides Donnacha with birthday success
Delight for Duffy as Molly gets her turn
That was well overdue,. She was growing last year and maturing all the time. She's a hardened campaigner this year. We had a little bit of a worry about the ground but she was due that on form. She'll alternate now between the Flat and hurdles. You can't beat a bit of luck and this place has been lucky for us. Eadbhard won here last year and Akiliyna won her maiden here for us in 2015 by thirteen lengths.
Formula One comes from last to first under Foley
Shane said he wasn't going to argue with him so he just left him on,. Hopefully that'll act as a big confidence booster for him and it'll be on to Galway and Listowel. The soft ground is key with him.
Coakley & McConnell on the mark with Itsalonglongroad
It has been a long long road but he deserved it as he's been consistent,. He's just hard on himself. We've been trying to drop him in but it's not worked and Ross gave him a great ride from the front there. I'm delighted to get that bracket for him and he must like tight tracks as he won at Tramore before. He might end up back there.
