Felicidad makes winning start for Elliott
125/1 winner delights some of the locals at Listowel
He is a family horse and my sister Sarah owns him,. I convinced her to buy him at the Sales two years ago and he has broken my heart since we got him, with little niggles. However he worked awful well last week. We thought he'd run well today and I might take him to the Sales but we'll see. Kevin gave him a super ride and it might help with his holiday a little bit!. We set out our stall at the start of the summer to get a winner at the Listowel festival so this is great.
Winning owners enjoy 'special day' on return
he is a nice horse and I'm delighted for Mark McDonogh (jockey) who claimed 4lbs as he hadn't ridden a winner. His father is away and I'm delighted for him and the whole family; Mark is a lovely young fellow and is a very nice rider. Hopefully he is a horse who keeps improving and he loves a bit of nice ground being by Presenting. Hopefully it is onwards and upwards.
McGuinness team win another Lartigue 16 years on
That was a rare jumps winner for the team and I'm delighted. We won it back in '04 with Victram so a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then,. I'm delighted for the Dooleys (owners) who teamed up with my Shamrock (Racing syndicate) lads to co-own the horse, and my own family and close friends are involved. Today's pot is the pot we wanted and he ran a cracker in Galway in a novice hurdler and his big asset is his jumping as he is very accurate and Darragh gave him the most wonderful ride. He is a lovely dual purpose horse and we will give him a break during the winter and go back novice chasing next year. We'll look for a flat pot with him next.

Lovely start from Play at The chasing Game
Fruitful September for Power continues with Memory Tree
He was the highest rated in the race so I'll have to agree with the handicapper now as I wasn't happy with him a couple of runs ago,. I think the flat track suited him and he jumped great. He probably didn't handle Tramore looking back at it but it is a local track and I tend to go there. If there was a rated novice he would run in one. I don't think he'd compete in handicaps. He could also be sold so we'll see.
