Felicidad won on her debut for the Gordon Elliott yard in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle at Listowel.
In the same colours as yesterday’s winner at the Harvest Festival, Telmesomethinggirl, those of Kenny Alexander, it was Jack Kennedy in the light blue and white here.
The former Nick Williams performer was backed from 13/2 into 5/1 and she got this done from the front.
Favourite Beret Rouge moved up to win her race in the straight but she wasn’t fluent at the final couple of flights.
Felicidad didn’t need a second invite to take charge again, and did so in the end by a length and three parts.
"She loved it out in front and jumped great. Jumping won the day for her and she battled well,” said Kennedy.
At the request of the Stewards, Mr M.J.M. O'Sullivan, rider of Citizen's Army trained by Eugene M. O'Sullivan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was outpaced early on and got detached, was distracted throughout by a loose horse and stayed on one paced in the closing stages.
