It’s never a nice way to win but he was taken off track a bit. He ran well at Fairyhouse the last day and a straight six furlongs suits him. He needs a bit of time between his races, and could run at the Curragh later this month.

She obviously likes it here. I was a bit worried about the step back to five furlongs but she is bred for it. It's great to have another winner, and we will look for a six furlongs handicap.

Everything went wrong in Tipperary and he ran with the choke out. We decided to bring him back up to Dundalk as he likes the surface there but he disappointed for whatever reason. He was keen again today but just got away with it. He's still a bit of a baby.
Intrepid easily follows-up
I had to get him back out again under a 5lb penalty after he got 17lb (for winning at Galway last Friday). The 17lb will go a long way towards slowing him down. He travelled well into the race, and has been a revelation in headgear (visor).
