Consharon Boy completes hat-trick
His form was solid enough and went to the Sales (at Goffs in April) but wasn't sold when the lads weren't looking for huge money for him. They were brave enough to hold on to him and he did it nicely today. He can jump a fence too but we'll tip away over hurdles for a while. Once the ground is ok, he'll go for a novice hurdle and hopefully the handicapper won't be too hard on him now.
Dressedtothenines bounces back to form
Conduct another winner for Kiely & Hayes
When the horses are in form, that's the way it is and she probably has improved from last year. I wasn't expecting her to run that well and thought she'd take a run but Brian gave her an economical ride and it worked out.
Boy makes all under O'Regan for Hanlon
He missed the fourth last but got the job done. He's a big relaxed and lazy horse and while we'll see what mark he gets, he could go for a winners' race next. He's a 16.3hh big chaser and won't have too many more runs over hurdles. He's flat bred and will stay in for the summer.
Clarcam proves too good for odds-on Game
Cantlow denies Busy in Killarney National
It was good to have a sub! (also trained Federici). He ran well behind Quantitiveeasing in the La Touche and they went so fast today, they cut each other's throats. Obviously Federici didn't get home with the gallop but Cantlow stayed on well and will have an entry in the Galway Plate now. We'll try and keep him in that frame of mind now and it's nice to get the win as I've been second in the last two years.
Station makes all under Barry for O'Keeffe
He is only now showing us his real potential and while we might consider running him at Listowel, that could be it until the autumn if the ground dries up. He is from a very good family and his dam is a half sister to Newmill and he is also closely related to Mount Colah. The breed is in the O'Keeffe family for over 40 years and my grandfather had the original mare, the great granddam, which he bought in 1963.
Product Of Love impresses in the bumper
That was very impressive, he looks very smart and we've always liked him. Aine gave him a super ride and was very professional on him. His next run will be in the winners' bumper at Galway.
