Listowel double for Hayes and Count

I love Listowel and obviously the horse likes Listowel too as it's his second time winning here,. He won this race in 2014 on good to firm, and on heavy today, so it tells you how versatile and genuine he is. He just needed a bit of luck all year and I'm delighted he waited for Listowel to win as it's nicer to win here than anywhere else. That's three races Chris has won on him now.

A win to remember for the Moriartys

She likes that ground and we were waiting all year for it,. She likes to be out in front and we were drawn one so had to be out quick or else get boxed in. We might give her another run before putting put her away for the winter. She's entered again to run on Thursday. We'll see how she comes out of today.

He only barely gets two miles but won very nicely and seemed to handle that ground well,. Donie worked for me for a couple of years and in fairness to him he has come a long way. He was a nice obliging lad and good around the yard but fair play to Enda (Bolger, his new employer) he has taken him on the next step. Enda did a lot of work with him and built him up with confidence. He gave him a very patient ride; I told him to take his time and it played into his hands as they went extra fast in front.

It finally came and conditions of the race suited as he is a horse with plenty of experience and it worked out,. He battled, which he is not known to do but back to two miles on heavy ground suited. He won't come back here later in the week and we'll go back over fences now.
