Another triumph for Hughes in Ros' opener
He really wants a mile and probably a mile and a quarter by the end of the season. We schooled him at home already and he jumps well. I'd say he probably goes on any ground.
Two from three for Mark Fahey
It can only go downhill from here! . Dusty (Shane Foley's nickname) gave her a great ride and that's her ground. I have four in training at the moment and we'll find a similar handicap for her now.
Durand provides Foley with another double
To Choose scores for Lynch & Gibney
He gets every yard of that trip and I was confident after Fairyhouse as we had a good pull at the weight with the other horse (Saratoga Baby). He will more than likely go over hurdles in time and we will see what the handicapper does now but he might just scrape into a premier handicap at the Curragh on Derby weekend.
Arnaud & Russell come out on top
He likes the ground and we'll keep him on the go and hopefully he'll run at Galway. He obviously has plenty of speed and I'd like to run him on the flat.
Another National for evergreen Kite
After his run at Mallow this was always the plan. He has been a super horse for us. He won his point-to-point at Inch on his first start as a five-year-old and he has won ten times now, including three Nationals. He is owned by a gentleman (Anthony Calnan) who is in the game for the long haul and I'm delighted for him. I have a small operation now and this win is huge for us. I have just three in for the summer and I own the other two. Jody was excellent on him. He gave him a super ride at Mallow and he was unlucky not to win there. We will let the dust settle now before we decide what to do.
Beachdale impresses on first start over fences
I've always said he'd be a chaser although I didn't expect him to win that easily. He jumped so well and loved the ground. Three miles is really what he wants. I just feel sorry for Tommy Treacy as he has done all the work on the horse but he broke his leg in a schooling accident last month.
