Prince X J delivers for 'quietly confident' O'Callaghan
Foley's Flare follows-up in Fairyhouse feature
This is what he's showing us in his work everyday. The win last time has done his confidence the world of good, a win is always a help to a horse,. Coming here we were very happy with the conditions, the race was ideal for him.
Brave front-running Warrior follows-up on Listowel success
A horse that has proved so frustrating in the past has now turned to be a star! It's great for Eleanora,. He won last week in Listowel, on Saturday, and this race popped up in the calendar quick. I had seen it beforehand and if we had missed Listowel we were going to come here anyway. He's a horse that likes doing what he does out in front and the blinkers worked well. Obviously the handicapper gave him 10lb the last day but the ground suited and the track with a bend is similar to Listowel, even though we're going the other way. He proved so frustrating in the last year-and-a-half but he fell down to a mark that he's capable of winning off and that probably gave him the chance. Like them all he'll probably climb back up and hit his level again but we're after having two wins with him which is the most important thing.
Carroll strikes again on Blues
He's good and genuine, that's what he's got going for him,. He showed a good turn of foot. He'll obviously be a mile-and-a-quarter horse in time but he's just not there yet physically or mentally. I didn't think he'd know enough for that. Ultimately he'll go down the road of handicaps, as all of the three-year-olds are. It's nice and Gary is on fire. He handled that, they are saying the ground is lovely out there and my two liked that. Seven is as short as he wants, they had him off the bridle turning in and he just stayed at it. His attitude is the thing to take out of it.
Garden digs deep to open account
He had a very good run the last day in a stakes race and Declan gave him a nice uncomplicated ride,. He was tough when he needed to be. The second filly had a good run the last day as well, and it seemed like she was very well fancied, so I'd say it was a hot race. It's nice to get his head in front. He had a nice debut and a nice run the last day. He progressed again today and he'll be a lovely middle distance/stayer in time.
Spectre makes the breakthrough with Ulster Derby now the plan
Out On Friday an aptly named winner of the last
It was a great ride, Sean is an up and coming rider - he's top class,. He wanted a longer trip on that good ground. He was down at the bottom of the weights and Sean took 7lb off him. He was just in top form today. I should probably run him more often on a Friday! I think that's only the second time he's run on a Friday. He's down to a mark where we'll have a bit of fun with him and hopefully we'll have a race in Galway again for him. He's won there twice and that'll be the aim with him. He needed to win today to come up in the ratings a bit and get in at Galway. The owner is keen to run so he won't wait around too long before running again. That's the fourth time he's won, he's had his issues along the way but he's a sound horse. He runs his race most of the time.
