Hurryupharriet gets off the mark
There was a breeze blowing behind her and that suited her as she is very fast. She is an out and out five furlong filly and Pat let her do what she wanted, bowling along in front, but he still held on to a little bit. She has always been smart and she already has blacktype. She might go for a Listed race at the Curragh next. She is owned by an English banker, John Davies, who is based in Riyadh.
Soul gets his day in the sun
We will decide on Sunday morning whether to run him or not (declared for the Phoenix Sprint Stakes at the Curragh).
Well-backed Saighdiur does it again
The ground was as good as he wants it. He'd been running on quick ground all along. He ran really well in the Rockingham and he got a horrible draw in the Paddy Power. He wants it soft but funnily enough he loves Dundalk. He is in again on Sunday (the Phoenix Sprint Stakes) but he is a doubtful starter unless we get plenty of rain. The Ayr Silver Cup is his aim. He idled in front in it last year and was only beaten a length. If he gets into the Ayr Gold Cup he'll run in that as you'd win one as easy as the other!
Indian Maharaja makes it two from two
He'll learn plenty from that, he's still very green. He's a lovely horse, he relaxed and quickened up well. I couldn't be any happier with him. I gave him a little slap and he quickened up well. He's an exciting horse. He won over a mile the first day and seven today - he has plenty of pace and he relaxes and stays.
Another double for Smullen as Queen scores
It is nice to get it out of the way.I didn't like running her so soon after Galway but I felt I had to. Pat said he always felt confident on her and she kept pulling it out. We will freshen her up now and she might have one more run in a Listed race before we leave her off.
Mamma provides Queally with his first win
He is a good well-mannered lad (Queally) who comes from a nice family. We felt that the filly had a very good chance this morning and if the horse was good enough, the lad was good enough. She wants a cut in the ground and she had been unlucky a few times on fast ground.
Deserved win for Vibes in the last
