Star makes the breakthrough
She disappointed us the last day but she had a good run here before then. She is a well-bred filly and blackprint would be important to her so we will probably go back for a stakes race again.
Maximilian lands another big pot
I've more made in two wins in Ireland than I have in ten years at home! . He is a very good, we are only getting to know him better and five furlongs is his trip. He actually ran a better race in the Rockingham than tonight and the stiffer incline at the Curragh suited him better so he had to it grit out it.

India no match for Convergence
He is a tough, tough horse and I thought Aidan's (East India) would have to be a Derby horse to beat him. I didn't think he would do it like that but he has had to do it the hard way every day. I said to Aidan before the race that he is a real dogfighter and that he is a true professional. We are looking forward to when he runs in a real strong gallop where he sits in. I'm not sure what the plans are with him for the moment. It's brilliant for Vincent and Geraldine (the owners), they bought him at the last sales of the year last year. They bought him on look as he looks like An Tadh (the first horse the Gaul's had with Lyons), they might have to sack Ger as a bloodstock agent!

Dilemma springs a surprise under Donovan
He is a quirky horse. He is good on his day but only on his day. When he is in the mindsight and is right he is good. Philip gave him a peach of a ride, the horse is difficult in every way. He has to be lead to the start before every race and mentally he can't handle the parade the ring. When he is wound up he can explode but Philip showed good horsemanship.
O'Brien records first outside winner on Royale
Sarah gave him a good ride. He was a bit handier than we had planned but he was very fresh. He was very unlucky at Galway where he ran a blinder. He was back to a winnable mark and he battled well. He has been a great servant (ninth win) and he will go for another handicap now. I don't think he will go to Tramore. Danny Grant said he didn't come down the hill at Galway and I don't think it will suit him at Tramore.
