Tsundoku storms home to land hurdle
She wants a little bit of an ease in it. Eddie Lynam sent her down to see if we could win a hurdle with her and we did,”
Mystic strikes for McNiff
She ran very well twice here last year and showed a good liking for the track,”
Gamble landed with Tellthemnuttin
Her pedigree is nice and obviously we were running her on winter ground and she wasn't handling it. This was the first time she got good ground. We put a 7lb claimer on her to give her every chance and she jumped great and travelled. Dylan gave her an absolute peach of a ride, I'm so impressed with the chap. He did everything to instruction. His agent recommended him. That's the first time he has ridden for me. I'm delighted for that syndicate (Heads Or Harps Syndicate) as they've had horses with me before and this is their first winner with me. She did a bit of work in the Curragh last week but I only have two horses in training. She was in good form and she stayed galloping. She's tough. I trained her mother (Peggy Maddock) to win a point-to-point. It's a good tough family. We'll keep going for the summer with her. She could come back here.
Empire begins his rise at Downpatrick
I dont know why but the penny has just started to drop. We were nearly giving up on him.
Redclue gets it right over fences
He still had to go and do it and I suppose a couple of runs in chases last year he lost a bit of confidence over fences. He jumped well today and I'm delighted with him. He'll be kept going now in similar company. You might see him back here if there is a suitable race for him. Conditions and everything suited him. Robbie said he jumped well. He doesn't like to be crowded. He likes a bit of room so Robbie gave him a good spin round. He's rated high enough over hurdles now so we'll keep to chasing for the time being. The E R syndicate are from Donegal. There are five members spread around Letterkenny. Three of them made it down here. He has won five times for them now so he is paying his way.
Shake stays on strongly to land hunters
Lavery gets good tune from Bell
He's been unlucky, he has run against a couple of those horses from Willie Mullins and Aidan O'Brien. They both went on and won dual bumpers. He'll go over hurdles now. In Ballinrobe he ran a blinder. He probably needs to go left handed. Right handed he got away with there tonight because he's just such a good horse but he'd be better going left handed somewhere like Killarney but you have the trouble to travel all the way down there!. He'll run away through the summer
