Lethal Turbo blasts home in Bellewstown
He’s a lovely big horse and it’s really only starting to happen for him. I ran him at the Curragh first time out and the ground came up really bad. He was one of those horses who thought he knew it all at home but when he went away he got a bit lost. He ran a good race at Fairyhouse but just rolled around a bit that day on the quicker ground. He’s improved a lot since and got the trip well there today. He relaxes but doesn’t lack a bit of pace either. When he was drawn wide I said to Shane to take advantage of his bit of experience and go forward on him. He got the rail which probably helped him around here. He was always fairly comfortable and if he gave him a smack he’d have found more.

MacRedmond seen to good effect on Sweetest Taboo
She was unlucky with Peter Kavanagh last week. I tossed to see who would ride her today and Cian won the toss. Lucky for him and unlucky for Peter. He gave her a lovely ride as the last few times she has just been going a bit too quick and I said 'just hold her up today and let her enjoy herself'. He did and got a lovely clear passage. She’s for claimers to ride in the yard. Cian’s first ride was a winner on her at the Curragh and his 10lb claim is gone now as that’s his third winner.
Colgan scores on Tenth Amendment
He’s deserved that to be fair. He’s been crying out for good ground all year and we’ve got it. It’s extra special that it’s come at a local track. Karl (Davis, owner) is a local man and his best friend Jim Corcoran is the Chairman here in Bellewstown.

Local joy with Pearl Of The West in Bellewstown
She’s an improving filly and is getting the hang of things over hurdles. It was important that she won today as her owner (Derek Kierans) is a local man and was back from America to see her run. She is useful on the Flat as well and there are plenty of options for her.
Castlehume gives Meade an across-the-card brace
He got a bit of leg trouble and was laid off for a while. He ended up coming to me as he’s a full brother to Cask Mate and Russian Bill. We were just waiting for a suitable race for a while and I was a bit worried because the ground got so quick. I think he’ll go further because the other two do but he (Jonathan Moore) said if he did today it wouldn’t have worked because he was so free and fresh.
