Jeff comes good in Kilbeggan opener
Hat-trick for Isabellareine
She keeps going and going. She's in again at Dundalk on Sunday and if she comes out of this grand she'll go again,. I'm a bit afraid of the ground turning on her as people are talking about a change in the weather. It's just a pity there isn't something with blacktype about for her.
Gorden back on form
I'm delighted for (owner) Mona Masterson. She has been very patient. He ain't a bad horse and hopefully can build on this and go in the right direction,. He was a little disappointing before his break but this is a nice foundation to build on. He's a horse that needs a fence and a bit more of a trip. We'll look at the 2m3f handicap chase at Listowel on the Tuesday although the trip is a little bit of a concern. There was a bit of crossed wires between him and Paul (Carberry) at Galway when he tipped up at the second. He was just fresh and well. He stumbled on landing and knuckled over. He didn't deserve to fall. Today it was nice to come back and get a confidence booster.
Cooper notches double on Gaffer
He did it easy. He won a couple of point-to-points and his real game is chasing,. He didn't have a hard race there and could go to Roscommon on Monday (2m4f handicap hurdle) as long as he's alright in the morning.
Dream gets off mark in style
He's been running well for two years and that's his first win,. He likes the distance and the 3m1f helped. He might go to Listowel while there is also a three-mile for him at Gowran Park.
Finish makes winning chase debut
He's going to be a grand staying chaser. He was on his head the whole way. He needs further and a galloping track,. It was his first run over fences and he jumped a little bit carefully but it's an easy place to start them off over fences. He might go to Listowel and we'll look for something over a little bit further for him.
Father Shines in Kilbeggan bumper
I only have him four months. He's had injury problems and I'm very grateful to the owners for sending him to me,. I've just moved into new premises recently in Tankarstown near Navan and it's a great boost to me. He can only go right handed. We had hoped to go to Listowel but can't. He'll probably go hurdling now. He needs that ground and if it changed we would put him away for a while.
