Delight for 'Shark' as he lands Bishopscourt Cup for the O'Rourkes
The plan when they bought him was to win this cup. The O’Rourke’s (Dermot and Diane) wanted to win this cup for years and they are only four minutes from the course. I’m delighted to get the job done for them,.
High hopes now for Asterion as he comes good in style at Punchestown
The drop in class makes a big difference to the pace of a race and he was able to get it all together. Even with top-weight in a handicap it’s a different pace than you would have in Graded races,.
Fitting winner as Rapid wins in the Potts colours at Punchestown
Not without a scare but Honeysuckle remains undefeated
We weren’t having an amazing week, but she always gets us out of trouble. She’s amazing. I’m just delighted for Kenny (Alexander, owner), Peter (Molony) and everyone involved. She was brilliant and Rachael was brilliant on her. She’s like a lot of those really good horses, she has such a will to win and Rachael is so good on her. She’s done that before at the last, but thankfully Rachael had it all under control. It’s been an amazing season and that’s a great way to finish it off.
Mullins double as champ Townend wins on Gaillard Du Mesnil
He was sloppy at the last down the back. For a four runner race there was a lot going on. All’s well that ends well. That was a very good performance and I think he’s going to be a nice horse next year. There is a good possibility that he’ll jump fences next season and that might help him to settle as well. He’s too busy during a race, but once he learns to relax, he’ll give a lot more.
Maxwell the man as Bob beats Bill by a nose
That was very exciting. I thought we had his measure three out but Willie’s horses are obviously running incredibly well this week and he was going to be tough to get by.
3 for Mullins 2 for O'Keeffe on day four at Punchestown
He’s done it nicely, jumped a bit left. I think he’s going to be a better horse over fences and he’ll go chasing next season,.
Point winner Mozzie looks very smart on racecourse debut
We obviously gave plenty of money for him (205,000 at Doncaster last December) and there is always a bit of pressure when you do that. Thankfully it’s after working out great,.
