Harrington Operating at full tilt
This has actually been the plan all year for this horse and he'd just been disappointing a bit earlier on, but that was on heavy ground. It was much better when he won at Cork last time and that gave him confidence. He jumped great today and he stayed galloping. I'd suppose he might end up a Galway Plate horse. He's a good ground horse anyway and I'll have to treat him like a good ground horse.
103/1 double for Harrington and Power
It was good that we split them up as I was thinking about running her in the novice (the previous race). She was beat by both of Nicky's mares (Une Artiste and Nadiya De La Vega) at Fairyhouse. She probably needed the race then and the ground was a bit drier today. I thought for a minute before the last that she wouldn't put her head down. She had a wind operation last summer and she's really getting her confidence again. She jumped great and she's another that'll keep going during the summer. The Galway Plate could be for her too. The owner (Joe O'Flaherty) has two horses in training and they've both won (Macnicholson yesterday) here this week.
Jezki the boss again at Punchestown
It's been absolutely fantastic . unbelievable. To have three yesterday and three again today is beyond my wildest dreams. I think Johnny (her recently deceased husband) is doing a lot of the pushing. It's very hard to come here after winning at Cheltenham. If he was beat here people would say he won a soft Champion Hurdle but he's come here and won again so it's fantastic. He was very good after Cheltenham and he had a very, very good preparation for this. He was good coming into the race and everything went according to plan. I let him (Tony McCoy) do what he wanted. He was the man in the saddle and he's the best in the world. I'm not sure I watched much of the race as my eyes were closed most of the time. Especially today the hood helped with the atmosphere and a lot of people cheering. He's only six . he's a young horse and I'd say he'll stay hurdling for the moment.
Vautour bags another Grade 1
It's great to get a winner . Jessie didn't have a runner there so we had a chance.
No bother for Arctic Fire
3 for Mullins as Patrick gets in on the act
She'd been showing a bit at home all the time. You never know what's in these sort of races but she ground it out well. I thought she was beaten a furlong out but Patrick said when he changed his stick she went away again.
