Caribbean Sea - but only just
We were delayed in traffic and only just made it in time. This fellow was bought for small money from Ballydoyle. He jumped terrible the last day (at Cork last Sunday) but he jumped well today. He loved the firm ground and he'll go to Killarney next.
Dream start for Dunne on Knockreigh
This horse had been off for a while with an injury. It's great for the young lad. He's 17 and he started with me when he was 12. He was with Willie Mullins for a year as well.
Downey off the mark with gambled-on Larkin
We fancied him as we've been waiting for the fast ground for him. We hope to get to Galway with him . we'll see what the handicapper does. I pre-train and Larkin's owner John Rogers advised me to take out a licence which I did last November.
Daly & Lady Fowler strike at Kilbeggan again
This mare has lots of talent but she is a little moody. I made the stupid decision to put blinkers on her the last day and she hated them. I meant to put cheek-pieces on her today but I forgot! She loved the ground and she is a very good jumper. She likes fences better than hurdles.
Old fav Artiste Bay does it again at Kilbeggan
That's been a long time coming. He's a small horse and a favourite in the yard . he runs his heart out every day. He struggles a bit with big weights and we'll see where we'll go next . he wants three miles plus anyway.
Sally completes Griffin's double
She is a good tough genuine mare. It wasn't the strongest of races but she couldn't have done it any easier.
