Halford wins opener at Dundalk
He has always shown us plenty of ability, he ran well here the last day he just got a bit tired. He's come on from that and he got a nice clear run this evening. He looked to have an easy enough time of it out there. I'm delighted for the owner Paul Redmond as he has been so patient with him and it was just great to get the win. We'll see what the handicapper does before we make any plans.
Lee's good run continues
Billy gets on well with this lad, we probably a bit unlucky here the last day. He needs of the top the ground and that's why he likes it around here. We will keep coming here until the ground gets good. A mile is probably as far as he wants it.
Oliver on the mark with Miss Velocity
She deserved that, she's tough filly and Kevin [Manning] gave her a great ride. He made most of the running on her and she loves a battle. She just kept putting the head out and finding more. She loves her racing, she ran on the grass in Naas last season and ran well so hopefully we'll have a lot to look forward to. I think she's improving all of the time. She won't have a tough campaign as I don't want to brutalise the filly.
Lyons/McNamara score at Dundalk
That's our first winner of the season, it's nice to get off the mark. Six furlongs is probably a shade too sharp for her but she did it well. I'm delighted for the owners as the Galvins are close friends of ours.
Empirico wins for Marnane/O'Donoghue
He's had a lot of problems in the past, we've always liked him and hopefully his problems are in the past. It's great to get off the mark. We'll probably try and find something similiar for over five or six furlongs.
Lee doubles up on Emmpat
That was great, he has some ability. He needs a gallop, he ran too keen the last day.
Berry/Morgan take concluding race at Dundalk
He'll mix it with fences, hurdles and the flat. He's a bit giddy and he's taken awhile to get his act together. He's in the valuable hurdle at Fairyhouse so I hope he gets in and he needs good ground.
