One In All In provides Orr with first Irish success
Misty wins again over flights
She did (come home very well). She has been running on winter, heavy ground and they have done a lovely job here with the ground. She wouldn't handle any quicker than that. Obviously she has won on the flat so she is able to travel into a race. Danny (Hand) gave her a lovely ride there. He knows her well and schooled her a lot at home. It was nice for him to sit and bide his time and she has done it well in the end. I think she is best coming (on the outside) and beating tired horses. She was a very good flat horse rated in the 90s so she has that bit of speed and she does stay well. I did think she was in very good form. She ran on the flat 10 days ago and she just didn't stay a mile and a half on the flat. Colin (Keane) was very happy with her there that day and said back to a mile and two and she'd be back winning. I'm hoping that she'll be aimed at Galway.
Smyth's investment pays off on Zagnzig
He burst the last day but he had every chance today. I was confident providing he didn't burst. It's a problem with him but I bought a new plate at £9,500 for him to stand on and it seems to help.
Volcano comes to life in Down Royal feature
I suppose he was crying out for the ground and the trip. He won his point-to-point on good ground. Danny Hand couldn't do the weight, he would usually ride him. Conor (Maxwell) gave him a great ride. I was hopeful today. He stuck at it well. He has run some nice races over shorter trips. Hopefully he will be out soon, he wants a galloping track. The owner owns Philip White Tyres in Armagh and he has had horses with me a lifetime.
O'Regan steers Snugsborough Benny home
We thought he was more of a chaser, he won his point-to-point and he won it well. We were just waiting for a bit of nice ground to run in Ballinrobe and he came on from it. This was a nice opportunity for him. First of all I must give credit to the track, they did a great job watering and it is safe (ground). Denis is poetry in motion! He just has a lovely pair of hands. He took his time early on, crept his way into it and the horse learned a nice bit and got a nice bit of confidence. Hopefully it is onwards and upwards. We'll feel our way now and we'll see how he comes out of it. He'll handle soft ground as well but we gave him a break during the winter.
Fenlon's Hill records third career success
I was a little bit surprised. We thought after his first run in Leopardstown he should have progressed but he didn't - we put it down to ground. I travel a lot to the north of England so he might go there to Perth (in Scotland) or Hexham. The owner (John Blake) drives a taxi and is from Artane.
Moratorium completes Elliott double
He's a big galloping horse so it's great. He'll go home now, he's a big winter horse. Lisa (O'Neill) is a great girl - she keeps them balanced and keeps them running. A double on the day. As everyone knows we didn't run any for two weeks and I think we are three or four days back running horses. We hit the crossbar with a few but we are back and rolling now. A few of the horses were coughing and we had to do the right thing by them. A lot of them are blowing up and needing the runs but we'll get back rolling. We've a quiet weekend but we'll get going next week.
