Dylan Thomas strikes at 1st attempt
Kevin really likes him. He has shown ability at home but he'll appreciate further, certainly seven furlongs. He could be a proper horse when he steps-up in trip.
Big Tex lands touch
There are very little three-year-old races for him. The other morning I saw that there were only fourteen in here so I decided to enter him. I'm thrilled and he's a horse that's matured over the winter. He is a tough horse but I didn't think the track here would suit him. I thought he'd get a lead from Old English (Mark Johnston's market-leader) but in the end he did it the hard way from the front.
Bubbly off the mark on Irish soil
Bubbly Bellini is fit and well and he was a bit unlucky at Lingfield where he was placed twice. We'll see what the handicapper does but he may be back here next week over seven furlongs. He can be a tricky ride and Colm was great on him. He's a well-handicapped horse at present (ran here off 52 having been as high as the mid-seventies in the past).
Gleadhradh makes it 2 for Bolger & Manning
He's a lovely horse and he could make a listed horse over a mile or a mile and a quarter. He's done well over the winter and he's a fine scopey horse.
Two Chevalier winners at Dundalk
He travelled super and picked up really well. He enjoyed the surface.
Bargain buy Nite up to the job under Townend
He did it well and Paul gave him a brilliant ride. I bought him at Newmarket last October (for 4,500 guineas out of Richard Faheys). He'd been working well at home and his skin and physique have improved since we've got him. He didn't take to hurdles last time but that's not to say that he won't go back at that game at some stage.
Deserved win for King
He deserved to win as he has been knocking on the door and going up in the handicap as a result. We'll mix it with him . here and hurdling. He likes this surface and fast ground.
