Tawaazon impresses back at five
He has surprised us. I mean, to be fair, we had got our eye on him and I said that the last time he won, but not to that extent. We literally just dropped him back to five furlongs because he travelled so easily over six the last day. Colin had said he would be worth a shot at five. They went a fair pace and it looked a hot race on paper. He surprised me. Denis (Hogan) and I get on really well and I asked Denis a couple of days after I got him about him feeling like a proper horse and did he do that down there. He said sure that's why they kept him so long. He always promised it and just didn't deliver. It is just possible that sprinting might be his gig.
Revival makes it three for the year
He looks a very good rider, the only thing is he is nearly looking in my eyes when I'm talking to him and I'm 6ft 2!
Burren on Song at Dundalk
We changed tactics with him to make plenty of use of him as he is a big long-striding horse. I thought if he stayed two miles the last day we would make use of him over that trip. It is great when a plan works, I fancied him tonight - he was 8lb better off with Higher Kingdom (second to him over C&D in January). He'll be kept busy on the turf and could go back over hurdles as well.
Hayes times it well on Hour again
That was lovely. The key to him was that they would fly in front and Chris has the bottle to ride him that way, what a rider. He suits him down to the ground because he lets it happen and when they go fast, he is hitting top gear basically. He gets the trip well. He's not a horse that will break or be free up front, he warms into it. He's not slow, but he seems to make up the ground and arrive up behind them easily enough. The last night I might have been too nice to him and they went too slow in front of him. It is job done and it is a great prize tonight. It is fantastic for local men - David Hoey is a good friend of mine a long time and it's the first time he's had a horse in his colours, the Louth colours. Louth are flying as well!. I'll see what is on the Flat, I'll talk to the boys. Why wouldn't he run in a good handicap some day?. I think I would stay away from good to firm, he did have issues before and it took us a while to get him right. We'll try and do what is right by him.

Bella claims fifth Dundalk win
We have tried her on the turf and it hasn't really worked out. Dundalk brings her best form out - a mile and making the running. She used to be very hard to ride, she is not too much anymore. She used to hang badly and run keen. It was kind of a thing to leave her at it and not get into a fight with her. For whatever reason, she still likes being ridden that way. She's not pulling as hard and she fights tough (at the finish). She won well enough. Last year I think she won a nose, a short head and a head, so the handicapper wasn't too hard on her. She won by a bit more tonight. She has run out of that grade but has never won out of it, so it will be tougher after this. I think it is really back here again, she is best around this place.
