Crosse takes the Claimer on Case
He is honest out and tries his heart out. I have a few Approves and they are very honest and try hard and that's all you'd expect. Nathan gave him a very good ride and did exactly what I asked him to do. The claim was a huge help and he is a good rider.
Ballydoyle on the mark with newcomer at Limerick
Spiorad takes the feature at Limerick
He should have won in Leopardstown last Thursday week when things didn't go right and he would probably have won the Premier Handicap at Navan in March but got blocked in. He'll have a little break now and will go for the E30,000 0-100 3yo handicap at Galway on the Wednesday next and he likes it around there. He goes on any ground and is learning the whole time. He is a bit of a playboy and is starting to learn as he goes along. I think he'll also make a lovely hurdle horse as he is real brave.
Gaul's plan working a treat with Melody
She is a grand filly and is in-foal to Awtaad so is probably his first winner!. She is after really sweetening up since and has got until the middle of August to run so we're going to have fun with her until then. We'll keep mixing between seven and a mile. It was Vincent's (Gaul) idea to put her in-foal instead of stopping with her last year and I'm delighted for Vincent because the plan is working out. His son David is getting married today so we ran her to have some cheer at the wedding and hopefully they're having a great day and it's a nice present for him.
Imrana justifies favouritism under McDonogh
Baba Boom scores for Murtagh/Coakley
he ran very well at Navan and stayed on nicely. He's a huge horse who has developed well over the winter. He put on 20kgs and was probably raw last year. He's really clicked well there and Ross was happy with him and said he idled a bit when he hit the front. We'll keep going in handicap company.
Keane doubles-up on You Can't Catch Me
He loves that ground and it couldn't be quick enough for him. Hopefully we'll have a summer like this!. We might go to Galway for the amateur handicap and will probably get into it now and he'll run if the ground is suitable.
