Win 101 for Russell
Golanbrook wins in Danoli colours
that makes up for his disappointing run at Cork . I was sick coming out of there because I thought he'd run well. He has lots of ability when he wants to do it. Andrew (McNamara) said he should go over fences but I wouldn't be so sure because if things went wrong, he mightn't want to do it anymore!
Fairymount scores under patient Carberry
Fairymount Lord is in again at Cork on Monday . he is 10 in the ballot so he mightn't get in but we'll see how he comes out of this. He disappointed me at Downroyal the last day when he didn't pick up as well as I hoped. Paul (Carberry) said to me today that there was another hurdle race in him but he is a real chaser and will go chasing soon. He acts on any ground and I always thought he was well handicapped.
Whatever Jacksays is third winner to make all
Whatever Jacksays had a good run in a good race at Fairyhouse recently and did that nicely. The way he finished there, he seemed to like the good ground but he won his point to point on bottomless ground!. He'll probably go to Punchestown for a three miles handicap hurdle now - hopefully he won't get too much weight as he is a small little horse.
O'Grady helps McNamara to Wexford double
that was sweet eventhough we might have had luck on our side with the unfortunate exit of Better Times, who was going well when he got injured.
Good Luck Chuck scores at Wexford
I have seven horses in training at the moment and I'm delighted for Good Luck Chuck's owner Sean Maguire, from Newry. This is his first horse with me. Good Luck Chuck will probably go for another handicap chase now and with a bit of luck he'll win another. He'll be kept on the go for the summer and Declan gave him a great ride.
Letherbelucky might be well named!
that was a very brave performance . she has a nice pedigree, is a half sister to Muirhead and will be a nice mare for 'the paddocks' in time. She will go hurdling soon enough and will continue on the go for the summer. That is my fourth horse I've had for the Supreme Horse Racing Club and each has now won.
