Easca Peasca up for a battle in Gowran Park
I knew he’d win a maiden hurdle somewhere and he’s stayed on well there today. We’ll probably look for a novice handicap. I’d say he wants a bit more ease in the ground but the ground today probably helped him to get home. He ran well here before to be second when the ground was near bottomless. I’d say he’d jump a fence in time even though he’s small as he’s a great little horse to jump. One of the syndicate members Maurice King, a local vet in Downpatrick who was held in very high regard, passed away on Wednesday but the family said we should go ahead and run. It was fitting that he went there and won today.

Queally plans to turn pro after big race win
I’ve a lot of miles on the clock point-to-pointing but I’m still only 32 and have a good team of horses and staff. We have about 40 horses in at the moment. I started training because I wasn’t riding enough and when we’ve built up to where we are now I can be competitive and I’m enjoying it.
Good Time Jonny scoots in under Carberry
He’d a good run in Listowel and obviously learned a lot from it. He’s still a relatively young horse in a handicap. The jockey was very good on him and was able to get plenty of light even though he went the inner. It worked out well and good people own him. He’s entered again tomorrow (in a three mile handicap hurdle at this track) and we’ll see how he is in the morning. It’s an option.

Quiet Escape takes honours in Listed mares' bumper
She’s always been a lovely mare so its nice to see it come to fruition. Once the ground was nice I was happy as I was worried it might have gone a bit dead today. She’ll be put away now for next summer. She’s from a good pacey family and she has loads of toe. Its just a matter of keeping her sweet and being able to use that pace. We only have the two (Farrawaybay won over hurdles at Galway last month) and a few point-to-pointers for the autumn and next spring. Her owner John Wade is in America but is a Galway man originally.
