Going - Yielding in places on hurdle & bumper track; Yielding, Good to Yielding in places on chase course. Bright and cold
Doesheeverstop full of running today
I'm not surprised with that. He ran a bit free in Listowel. Andrew said once he settled he was very good. He gave him a peach of a ride. Andrew has ridden lots of winners for me. I was able to tell him this was a fair horse. He's a half brother to Crash and you don't throw away horses like that!
The King Of Brega lords it in Down Royal
I knew in Thurles he would run a blinder. I couldn't leave this pot behind. There's more to come. I'll put him away and there could be further things next spring for him. He's a fair horse and I always loved him. He just needed time. We bred all the family. I love Court Cave's [sire] and I've been given free nominations for life!
Grade 3 win for smart Girl
I think she could be special. She made a bad mistake and went away again. She went long at the last and when she recovered, she went away from the second. She did a couple of very good pieces of work and she is a big mare so she'll only improve.
Jezki gets the job done
I'm absolutely delighted to get that out of the way. He did everything he was supposed to do.
Bullet takes Gold on chasing debut
Barry O'Hare who I bought him off sponsors the Drinmore and that's where he will go next.
Rothwell full of praise for O'Connell
Paul Townend (who rode Decade Player to win at Tipperary) didn't think this horse would jump around these fences so he wouldn't ride him, so when some other riders knew this they declined to take the ride. I rang Eddie O'Connell and explained that I didn't want to put anyone in danger, but I thought he would jump around here. I'm really delighted with Eddie for doing what I asked him to do. He gave him a super ride. Even the day he didn't jump well at Listowel he was careful.
Ebazziyr holds off Carnduff in the bumper
Dad was hopeful today, he was unlucky at Tipperary.
