Pomeriggio helps 'afternoon' drinks go down
the syndicate (It's All About The Girls) has been with us a while and are actually at their Christmas lunch so this will help the wine go down! . They also had Youcrackmeup with us this year so they're having a good time. Pomeriggio has really relished the surface and we have done a lot of stall work with her. She broke well out of the gates and did it very, very nicely. She has threatened to do that plenty of times. It just didn't quite click with her but she really relished that surface. She was very strong at the finish and loved it.
Well-backed Anvika scores for Lavery and Colgan
she was late starting because she had a little issue in the spring. I'm thrilled with her and how she has taken to the surface - she has just got stronger and better. I think she is more a seven-furlong filly and, when she learns to relax, we will step her up. I'll look at the programme and might just put her away now but I haven't thought beyond today. I'll let her mature into her brain and then run her on nice grass. I'm looking forward to that. She's a gorgeous Dandy Man filly out of a Giant's Causeway mare.

Inishmot Prince registers seventh Dundalk win
he has been coming into great form at home, he was very well the last week and we were fairly hopeful of a big run again. The strong pace was ideal for him, he just loves coming off a strong pace and still only does enough. He will probably come back here next week for an 80-rated five furlong race, then we'll leave him alone until the new year. As long as he is in that kind of form, we'll keep him going. James has got very polished and strong, he knows those horses well which is a big plus and it is great to have him.
Royal Ascot plan for Dundalk winner
he's a good horse and the plan now is to give him a break and bring him back at the start of the Flat next year. Hopefully he can progress to Royal Ascot. He won well enough today to pick any of those handicaps in Royal Ascot - that's what you are hoping for and he will stay all day. there are lots of lads telling me to go jumping now but he is still progressing on the Flat so why not use that and wait until he is older to go jumping. They are all mad for me to jump him but I won't go jumping yet. Our horses are all for sale if someone comes in and are usually sold by now!
Slattery's Senado Square is 'halfway there'
I'm nearly sure he has a wind problem as he works like a 90 (rated) horse. I am going to have to get it solved. I'll probably run him here on Wednesday and will get it sorted out over Christmas, then we'll put him away for the grass because he will love soft or heavy ground. He's a bit troublesome at the stalls and was probably unlucky here the last night. I thought my other runner (fourth-placed My Girl Sioux) was very unlucky. She should have gone very close but broke badly and got stopped up the straight. The two of them are grand and I'll mess away with them for the winter.
