Ms Brightside defies drift to make winning debut for Cromwell
She was plenty green, I couldn't believe it because she was professional enough in the barrier trial and we've had them away plenty,. She did it well. She was a little bit flat footed when they quickened, it just took him a little bit to get her organised but she won well.
Charming Lady lunges late to cause 33/1 Fairyhouse surprise
She was all wrong in Bellewstown, she had a problem with tying up and it took us a while to get her right,. We were fairly happy she was right as she did a couple of really good bits of work recently. We were quietly optimistic of a big run. Conor Maxwell had been riding her work and said she was full of speed. He thought she wanted five or six but looking at today she probably needed every bit of the six. I'd say her trip is a stiff five or an easy six like that. We'll tip away with her. Pedigree wise a lot of them handled slower ground but we worked her in Skryne on the soft and she struggled to finish it out. We took her up to Dundalk and she was very good there. I'd say nice ground is probably ideal for her.
Matt back to winning ways for Halford and Collins
Vernet makes all under excellent Horgan ride
Night Sparkles again for O'Callaghan
It's a long time since she ran on the Flat, for Simon Crisford, last year. We bought her over the winter, with a couple of lads, to have a bit of fun with and make a dual purpose mare out of,. She's won her maiden hurdle and that bit of hurdling has hardened and toughened her up. She has come in her coat in the last three of four weeks and she looks well. We'll have plenty of fun with her. Dylan said she felt sharp enough to come back to a mile-and-a-half or you can go as far as you want as she stays all day.
McMonagle lands knockout blow on Champ
Friday beginning to enjoy Fairyhouse love affair
We're delighted with that again. We didn't have to do much with him during the week, only just freshen him up again for today,. The handicapper put him up 14lb and he probably has him now. The jockey gave him a serious ride to get him back up, he was headed by a good horse of Shane Ryder's that lost nothing in defeat. He has a great attitude, he battled back and he did the same in Gowran last year when he won. He's in the groove now, he loves it. He's in at Leopardstown next week but I don't know if he'll run again after that race. We'll see what the handicapper says again.
