Jowango back with a bang
I'm thrilled with him. He was promising last year but was coming back from a long break (November last year),. He loves that good ground and came back fresh. I thought he would get tired and he did but the sharp track suited.
Carberry and Elliott strike again with Millrock
I'm delighted for the boys. It's a few lads from Trim that own her,. She deserves that. She's been knocking on the door. We'll find a little mares novice race for her in England over 2m6f over 3m.
Poli scores for Kilbeggan chairman
That's great for us. Paul is the chairman here so we are delighted,. It's a double edged sword as he loves to have a horse run well here but hates to have a horse run badly. So we're always selective about what we run.
Flynn runners battle out finish
I could have run the other lad at Limerick next week and that would have been two winners!. I used to ride for the owners when I was with Philip Hobbs so it's great to get a winner for them. The handicapper has been awful hard on him and will probably kill him again. It's just grand to see him win. We might think about going chasing with him but could go to Galway for the owners and there is a handicap hurdle on the Friday for him. I'll look for a little race for the runner-up and would love to go to England with him.
Kite lands Midlands National
Brian gave him a great ride. The horse is a gentleman and the owner is a gentleman also,. He's a dying breed amongst owners. He let's you concentrate on doing the job and doing best by the horse. This horse has been a great servant from day one. He's an easy horse to train. It's a great success. Things have been quiet during the summer and it's nice to get a big one. He has an entry in the Galway Plate but today was the day and we'll see how he comes out of this.
Crowe confident on Ah Ya Boy Ya
It's grand to win with him. Alan said to put him in the novice here as he wouldn't get into the National,. He's been breaking blood vessels all the time and he would be a good horse apart from that. He always runs well and has been killing himself in the handicap. I just wanted to get a win into him. I gave him a long break last year and he ran well first time back. It's just great to win one with him.
