Sampers surprises as expensive breezer bombs
she's always shown a lot of pace. First time out she just did too much. Last time she got in behind and got dragged backed early in the race. Ronan came in last time and said he would have loved to be handier. She had a nice draw today and she's been learning with each run. She's very straight-forward and she'll strengthen more as well. It's nice to have got a bracket for her as a two-year-old and we'll see from there. I'd be thinking about putting her away now. Ronan was very good on her and she responded for him, she was game.
Arcanears ends 14-race losing spell for second success
he's very game. He's had a couple of very good runs this year without having much luck. He always seemed to get a bad draw. He got galloped on top of one day in the Curragh and got the hind legs cut off him, we lost a good bit of time with him. We just ran out of time on the grass and the last day in Naas he came home well. I knew he had handled the surface here before. I'm delighted for Carol (Roper), she's been a great owner for us over all the years. She's so patient and the horses mean so much to her so I'm thrilled for her as she bred him as well. We'll keep going with him. It suited him tonight as they went very fast, took him off his feet early but he came home well.

when he won the last day he got a bit of confidence from it. Ronan gave him a lovely ride, he stayed nice and cool on him and the gaps just appeared in time. He's a tough genuine little fella and he does what he does. We'll keep him going up here for a while anyway. I'm delighted for Paul as he had to be very patient with him. I bought him as a breeze-up horse last year and it just took him a while to get the hang of things. He was a weak horse, and weak minded, but he's getting a bit of confidence now. He's found a level that he can operate off and he's genuine.
