Harty has A Nice Day
He so deserved that. He has been so unlucky for about his last five or six runners, and he reared a bit coming out of the stalls today. He is a very fresh horse and he was like a maniac at home yesterday. He is small but he is built like a tank and he is very gutsy. All he does is eats and sleeps. This was to be his last run before we gave him a break and gelded him. His owner is Laurence Dempsey from Edenderry, and he bought him very cheaply (€3,200 at Tattersalls in September 2011), and I'm delighted for him as he is a great supporter.
Magnolia gets the job done
We have nominated him to go to Dubai and hopefully that is where he will go. He learned a lot from his first run, and he will be a nice horse for next year.
Ningaloo lands a gamble for Donnelly
The syndicate (the Monday Night Syndicate) are from my hometown, Garristown (Co Dublin). He has been knocking on the door and he hasn't been beaten that far a few times.
Indian provides Harty with her first double
All the horses have been running well, and this is another hardy little horse. He was having awful trouble with sore shins, but we have sorted that out now. I just feel sorry for Rory Cleary who is suspended (rode the winner on his last start). Colin gave him a great ride. We were thinking of giving him a break, but Rory said that he was still in good form and to keep going. He is an easy horse to keep fit, he is very clean winded. He is owned by Edward Power from New Ross.
Downey delivers another win for Casey
Robbie is a lucky rider for us and that's now three winners from five rides; the gaps just seem to come for him!. I'm sure he'll (Hello Humpfrey) come back here again some something similar. We have eight horses riding out at the moment and really all the credit goes to my brother Peter who rides them all.
Cebuano gains overdue second win
he's a very genuine horse but has just been meeting one too good. The small field helped him there and he had only 8st6lbs on his back.
