Aunt a mare on the up
It's good to be back. Akatara was my last winner. She came here three times and won three times. She's in foal to Dylan Thomas now,. This lady loves the place too but I'd say she can go on a bit further. A big galloping track will suit her. She's an out-and-out stayer and I'm delighted they went a good gallop. She was weak as a four-year-old and has strengthened up big time and is a different mare. The jumping helped as well as she's a natural jumper. She'll probably come back here for a winners of one at the end of the month. I think that's two miles six which might suit even better.
Off The Mark back on track
Pat back on form for Love
Duckweed much the best in Kilbeggan novice
She deserved that after being placed. I decided to come here as it was three miles and she got all the allowances. She's not over-big so I thought it was better to come here,. She jumped really well and was a good point-to-point winner. She was also second in a good point-to-point so had a bit of form. I'm delighted and she has improved every time I've run her. She'll go on through the summer and it will depend on what comes up whether she stays hurdling or goes over fences. She'd be alright over two-and-a-half also as long as they go a good gallop and she seems to go on any ground.
Ronava has Galway in mind after chase win
He did it well. We've always said he was a two-mile horse but the extra half mile made a difference today and it opens up a lot more options,. From day one when Johnny won on him and then Adrian (Heskin) they said stick a fence in front of him. He jumped like a stag. He likes quicker ground as long as it's safe with a little cut. He's won at Galway before so we'll look for a little handicap there.
Hayes the man with Kilbeggan double
O'Dwyer and Barry have another good one
We've always liked this lad,. I thought Richie might just have hit the front too soon as he's green and leery but he had plenty left in the locker.
